Cost price installation service
For clients who want their new frames installed, we offer a ‘cost price’ survey and installation service. Our dedicated LTWD Wood & Home team surveys, supplies, and fully installs your windows and doors, including internal architrave, painted to match.
All work is FENSA certified and includes a 10-year warranty. Old frames are removed and disposed of, ensuring a streamlined, single-source service.

Timber Sliding Sash Windows

Timber Casement Windows
Lipped Casement Windows
Introduced in the 1950s, lipped casement windows feature a sash that extends slightly beyond the frame, creating a distinctive "proud" appearance. This modern design, also known as a storm casement, incorporates a double-rebate seal for enhanced weather protection.
Flush Casement Windows
Flush casement windows, with sashes that sit level with the frame, remain the most popular choice in London—especially for period-style replacements, new builds, and high-quality uPVC timber-look alternatives.

Minimal Maintenance
Our products are engineered to maximise the time between repaints while keeping maintenance simple when it's eventually needed. This is achieved through the use of an end-grain sealant that protects vulnerable joints from moisture and decay.
We select premium-grade, knot-free heartwood to minimise the risk of paint damage. Additionally, our frames are crafted with gently rounded edges, promoting smoother and more even paint coverage.
Each item is finished with four coats of paint, creating a durable surface that can last up to a decade before requiring attention. We use Teknos microporous paint, which allows the wood to breathe and manage moisture naturally. When a new coat is needed, this water-based paint can be applied directly over the old finish, eliminating the need for labor-intensive stripping and priming typically required with oil-based alternatives.
Engineered Timber
Engineered timber is specially processed to boost its durability and stability, helping to prevent common issues like warping, twisting, and early decay—problems that can lead to draughts and strain on locks, hinges, and glazing units.
There are two main techniques used in this process. One involves treating the timber with acetic acid (a method known as acetylation) to improve its resistance to moisture and decay. The other technique involves slicing the timber into layers and bonding them back together with alternating grain directions.
Additionally, engineered timber’s enhanced stability helps maintain the integrity of paint finishes, preventing cracks and peeling that could expose the wood to UV damage and rot.
Superior Insulation
Traditional timber casement windows can feel cold and draughty as they age. To combat this, we use a double rebate frame with dual weather seals, boosting insulation by up to 20%—outperforming typical uPVC or aluminium alternatives.
High-compression multi-point hinges and cam locks press the sashes tightly into the frame, effectively sealing out drafts. Our advanced glazing features low-emissivity glass with warm-edge spacer bars and inert gas fills, reflecting heat inward while allowing natural light in—keeping your home cosy, even in winter.
